McKay

My gr. grandfather Robert McKay gave his age as 60 & born Kilearnan Ross Shire on the Auchindoir
& Kearn 1851 census. On the 1861 census for Auchindoir  he gave his age as 70 & born Kilmuir
Ross Shire..
He died 22 May 1862 at Cairndard age 71 which would make him born c. 1791  his parents
were noted as John McKay and Jean McKay m/s McLeod by his son the informant.
I found a marriage for John Mckay/Janet McLeod 18 June 1793 Kilmuir-Easter with a dau Mary
born 03 May 1794 Kilmuir.
I found a Robert McKay born 27 March 1795 Kilmuir - parents listed as John McKay/Elizabeth McLeod - could this be an error in names?

Any info on the John McKay/Janet McLeod family would be greatly appreciated..
