Many thanks for 1871 census detail, much appreciated.

Is Sarah with him? I am having trouble finding her in 1871.

Kind regards

Hi Trish,

Many thanks for that, much appreciated. Have now found Sarah aged 65 in 1881 on familysearch, she is a widow, living in Ashby De La Zouch & employed as a potter.

Therefore John Ford Allerton/Allerton must have died sometime between 1871 & 1881.

Kind regards

David

Hi

Looks like Frances was baptized as FORD aged 9 years in 1848 on 29 October, parents ~ John and Sarah, he a potter.

In the 1861 census Frances is living next door to her mother Sarah and her Insley Grandparents.  :)

Hi Claire,

Many thanks for that, much appreciated.

I would say that that is undoubtedly her, even if she has knocked 6/7 years off her age! ;D
