James Leith Family of Bandon, Cork, Ireland
« on: Tuesday 19 May 15 15:52 BST (UK) »
Looking for the descendents or information on the family of James and Mary Anne Leith.  The only info I have is that in 1901 they lived on Castle St., in Bandon, and that James was born in Fermanagh,  they had 3 daughters.  Their daughter, Cathrine (or possibly Eliza Catherine), was my maternal Great Grandmother.  We know nothing about her except that she ended up as a drunk and a prostitute on the streets of Cork by 1912.  We have no idea what happened to her or the rest of this entire family with the exception of her son, Robert who is my maternal Grandfather.  Would love to see what I can find.  Thanks,  Trish Forte'

I've been doing quite a bit of searching and did find some information before I discovered this post- am wondering if it's yours?

Hello,  Yes, that was my post.  I was able to find that much information, but after 1912 it seems the entire family just vanished except for one daughter who went to England.  Wish I could find out if there is more family out there or what happened.

My goodness!  This is incredible!  I have not been able to find these records, but it's difficult when you aren't sure where to look.  That is definately her for sure!  I also have a reference for her father James Leith living at 13 Blarney or Barney St. in 1910 in Cork but after that I can't find any mention of him.  So far this is amazing.  Special thanks to a cousin in WIcklow for telling me I should try rootschat!!

I would say you may need to revise your prison records
After 1907 James Leith ceases to be Kate's next of kin from then untill around 1910 John Leith takes over   his brother?
