I'm wondering if there is a record of the names of the wives who travelled with their husband soldiers in the Peninsular war?

No this is 60 years before the army recorded the names of wives on the married establishment. I once found a reference to a wife being given free passage back to the UK after her husband died overseas. Normally they quickly remarried within the regiment.

If you have Findmypast for example you should check the regimental BMDs. They are not complete. Post his and her name if you want someone to check.
