Thanks for your replies but do you have any idea which Joseph was the father of Joseph who married Selina?

Do you have any other information on this Joseph Toman and Rachael Wilson as it seems to be at odds with the information I have already?

Joseph Toman and Rachel Wilson's marriage on 10th Jul 1863 at Lurgan Registrars Office, Co. Armagh gives both of their addresses as Bleary, Tullylish Parish so it looks to be the correct baptism for your Joseph.

They were both weavers, both aged 20 and previously unmarried. Joseph's father was Daniel Toman, a weaver and Rachel's was George Wilson, a farmer. Witnesses were Thomas Doyle and Anne Bell.

I only have access to a transcribed copy so the original records need to be looked at to confirm all the details.

Thanks for that.  Could I prevail on you and ask if there are any other births recorded as siblings to Joseph and being even more cheeky is there any information on the two fathers?
Regards

Ann Bell is the wife of John Bell of Bleary and was Church of Ireland. She would have been Rachel's witness.  The Wilson/Toman marriage may be in the register's office as it is possibly a mixed religion marriage.  George Wilson  b abt 1799 and wife Mary b abt 1803 have children in Ballydougan starting at least by 1825.  Annie bapt 1825, James 1827, Elizabeth 1829, George 1831, Rebecca is baptized  1836 and Rachel Sept 1, 1839. Rachel's baptism is at Knocknamuckley.  There is a George in Ballydougan in Griffiths, but I am not finding the family in more church records.  Sophia Wilson who married a Davison and then a Dickson has father George Wilson, but there does not seem to be a clear connection.

You're welcome, Rod. Joseph Toman was baptised 14 Nov 1841 in Tullylish parish. Parents were Daniel Toman and Mary Livingston. Sponsors were James Toman and Sally McConville.

I could only find a baptism for one sibling - James Henry Toman, baptised 12 Jul 1839 in Tullylish parish. Parents were Daniel Toman and Mary Livingston. Sponsor was Jane Toman. He married Jane Moore in 1865 and widow Mary Jane Cowan in 1888.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any other records relating to their parents or to Rachel Wilson and her father George.

Absolutely great.  Did Joseph and Rachael have any more children after their marriage in 1863?
Thanks again
