Hello TYRELLA and welcome to RootsChat

Danone hasn't been on here since March 2019, but hopefully he will receive email notification of your post.

What information were you after regarding James PRATT?

Hello Maddy

Thank you for responding to my post.

James Pratt married into the Watts family, hence my connection, there is quite a lot about James available as he ran a successful business, rose to head of the council, very influential in the Baptist Church and may even have been a JP.

I have a couple of photos of him and lots of references in newspapers, it would always be great to get more information on him and his business, he had Swan Pratt & Co, then when his partner dropped out, he went into partnership with several family members. I'm now in touch with a few of James's blood descendents.

In particular, it would be brilliant if it was possible to find some photos and information of his first wife who was my blood relative. Sarah Watts had a sister who married a bigamist and lost at least 3 relatives in the Great War. We suspect these loses might have been the catalyst for her sad demise.

Of course, the bottom line is that any extra information all helps towards the bigger picture.

Paul Watts

Perhaps it might be a good idea to start a new thread asking for info re the WATTS family, and Sarah in particular. If they were in Leicestershire then probably on this board,
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/leicestershire/

Lots of helpful people who may be able to give you more information.  :)
