Jane/Jeanie Armit arrived New York in 1914

Hoping to get some assistance please to locate Jeanie Armit born 01 Jun 1883 in Newmains, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  She sailed on the Cameronia from Glasgow in March 1914 and arrived in New York in April 1914.  I found her on the 1920 census in Manhattan aged 36, a servant in the King household...her occupation was 'cook'.  I haven't been able to find her after this time and can't be certain if she remained in the U.S. or travelled back to the U.K.

I have checked the SSDI and have not found her death under the name 'Armit' or similar so wondered if anyone might be able to help locate her after 1920. Any help appreciated.

Jean Armit McLay born 1883 and aged 56 years appears on a New York Passenger List - Glasgow Scotland to New York arriving 16 October 1939. Going to 336 East 49 th Street New York City. James (aged 46 years) was also travelling - naturalized New York Dist Court 1929 - Passport Issued 12 July 1939
