Jane/Jeanie Armit arrived New York in 1914

As far as death records online, there is a New York City death index at www.italiangen.org, but it only goes up to 1948 currently.  I checked the New York Times for obituaries and didn't find anything. 

If you have an LDS Family History Center near you, you could order the microfilm for the death index up to 1965.  https://familysearch.org/search/catalog/108651?availability=Family%20History%20Library  The Social Security Death Index mostly covers deaths from the early 1960's, so they may have died before then.
