can't buy credits for s.p.

hi,i've been trying to buy some credits for scotlands people but in when i go through the buying process i get a message on the page(in red lettering)saying the transaction can't be made please retry or use a different card. i tried several times but still got the same message,then a helpline number from the company that manages the purchases,i rang this and the man who answered said it often happens on s.p.he said to go to the contact us part of s.p. and ring the number there but i can't find any contact number there, is this a common problem?

I've been looking at the site and can't see a number, just a form to fill in. Not very satisfactory.

thanks for that groom,I'll try again tomorrow for credits and if i still can't buy any I'll try the number on the link you gave. and i agree a  form to fill in, and an answer within 24 hours is a  very unsatisfactory way to solve problems on their site,

Have you tried logging out and logging in again? I tried to buy something from another site the other day and it wouldn't let me proceed to payment. I logged out completely and that cleared it and let me proceed.

Well, just in case it was a problem with SP's voucher system, I went on there just now and bought a batch of credits with absolutely no difficulty. So it does seem to be something to do with the system not liking your card.

From their website, the cards accepted

Payment can be made through credit or debit card, and all card transactions are processed through our secure payment gateway. It accepts most major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Switch, Solo, Delta and JCB.

Looks like they don't take American Express

hi all and thanks for your help. i rang the customer service at the credit card and they had suspended the card for what they thought was a suspicious transaction(an anual debit from the u.s. at 3 in the morning)but all sorted again and i was able to buy my credits.

Didn't they let you know that they had done that - why didn't they text you, or phone you? When that happened to me, within minutes of the "suspicious transaction" they texted me to ask if it was me doing it and when I confirmed it was they reinstated the card. It's good that they are quick off the mark, but annoying when you don't know.
