Dublin Foundling 1902
« on: Wednesday 27 May 15 16:14 BST (UK) »
While searching for something else entirely, I came across this piece of information in a Dublin Workhouse Register, that took my interest – see file attached

Can anyone decipher the writing highlighted please?

Baptism of Joseph CLARENDON 1902
Foundling – Sponsor Bridget CLINTON

Joseph CLARENDON died aged 0 Dublin South 1902 Apr-Jun Q2 V2 P510

Bridget CLINTON (Senior and Junior) of 38.1 Temple Bar on 1901 Census

Bridget CLINTON (Senior) on 1911 census still at same address

It is more difficult to place Fanny CARROLL but someone researching Bridget or Fanny may find this of interest

That's sad, they named him after Clarenden St church, I think the highlighted part refers to a police man P.C for Police Constable and his number 96B

Thank you for that Hasta
I wouldn't have thought of a PC

Yes I believe he was called after the Street the church was on
and possibly Joseph as March 19 is the Roman Catholic feast day for St. Joseph
