James Walker, Labourer married Mary Marmay Montgomery, dau. of Robert Montgomery, Labourer, 25/10/1833 St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh.

Can't find Thomas' baptism on either familysearch or SP.

1851 census shows James bc.1811 Galashiels, Selkirk and Mary ca.1816 Galashiels, Selkirk but can't see their baptisms.

Once again it is because of those here at Rootschat that I am able to make my way back

HUGE thanks to ecksdochter , Annette 7, CaroleW  :D

And while I am by know means greedy ...if any of you are still looking for a challenge ... Annie Greig's father was Laughlan/Lauchlin Greig ... while I suspect it might be spelling issues with his name he is another I have been unable to get a solid handle on dates.

THANK ALL AGAIN

Laughlin Greig married Marion Scott 7/4/1827 Edinburgh

Can only find one likely baptism:

Lauchlane Greig b.29/10/1806, bp.2/11/1806 Perth, son of John Greig and Janet Macintosh.

According to 1841 census Lauchlin was not born in Midlothian so this would fit.

Hello LUV,
Found a likely death on SP.
Lauchlane Grieg died 24th Nov., 1847 at Leith South, Edinburgh City, Midlothian. (Note, ie spelling in surname)
Found what I think is Marion's brother George on the 1871 Census. Age 33, married, living in Edinburgh and has Marion's daughter living with his family. (Hope that doesn't break copyright!)
               Regards     Dod.

Thanks Dod

Appreciate it ... yes, Grieg/Greig and then Laughlin spelled a variety of ways too ...

Although at least with the uniqueness of this guy there are no others ... whereas when looking for a Mary, John, William etc....  ???

Thanks again
