Fitzpatrick family of Derryvonna
« on: Thursday 28 May 15 22:17 BST (UK) »
Hey everyone, looking for information on a Fitzpatrick family from Derryvonna, about a mile from Belturbet County Cavan if I understand correctly. Does anyone have information on the parents of Mary Fitzpatrick, born 1837 and died 1912? She married John McCaffery. One of my relatives tells me they came from Derryvona but that's all she knows. I read a long time ago on another genealogy site that the Fitzpatricks of Cavan were originally called 'Mulpatrick' and changed it around the late 1600's or early 1700's. Any help would be very appreciated.

Thank you-

Nick

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.

Thanks a lot for the help and links guys. :) Is there a good website I can use to look at records? I have a trial Ancestry account right now, but I can't access records outside of the U.S.
