JEPSON family - Misterton/Budby

I have finally got around to having another crack at this branch!

Tobias JEPSON (b 02 Sep 1782 Budby) m Elizabeth HOUSETON 25/11/1805 All Souls/Saints Anglican Church, Misterton.
I gather she died as he married again  13/10/1807 to Susannah/Susanna WELLS in the same church. Then again Elizabeth may have given him the flick if he was kicking up his heels with Susannah who gives birth bang on the knocker of 9 months post marriage!

John baptised 10 Jul 1808 but was buried at All Saints 13 Jul 1808.

Here is my concern - I can find no other offspring until Henry in 1826 then James 1828 who marries Ann DRAKES 18 May 1854 Amcott, Lincs.

Seems a bit odd that there was an 18 year (approx) gap!

Would anyone be able to offer some insight into this for me please?

Here is my concern - I can find no other offspring until Henry in 1826 then James 1828

Have you got baptisms for those boys confirming they have mother Susannah?

Could they be grandsons rather than sons

There are some other baptisms to father Tobias mother Susannah/Susanna that might be worth looking at.

Hmmm - maybe I have the wrong JEPSON family!    It could be the Spitfire Hill mob I need.

Edward FOSTER m Mary Ann JEPSON (b Beltoft) 3 Apr 1881 (I have the marriage cert). Her father was listed as James JEPSON.

I will have a look at Thomas and Susan now.

I've been puzzling over Tobias and his wives all day - then I found this! I'm coming at it via daughter Hannah who went on to marry George CHAFER after somehow migrating to Epworth in Lincolnshire.

Any takers?
