Hi,

I can see a James Lampard farm labourer age looks like 70 something born East Knoyle.
He is shown as a widower - he is living alone.  Can't find a death for Ellen so wondered if she had left him and taken the children with her.

Sue

Hi Sue,

Don't think that the same James Lampard.

My James Lampard snr must have died pre 1901 because wife Ellen (with children) is widowed on 1901 and 1911.

1901 shows another son - Gilbert aged 11 who should appear on the 1891.  Freebmd shows birthyear as 1889

What  was Ellens    maiden name ?     maybe they   are with   her relatives , and  have  been  transcribed with  her  former  name ? ,    I   can't see them  on Familysearch   either,  as well as Ancestry
