Helping a friend who lives in Canada.  She has June A. Wood born May 1932 in Stockport.

We believe June's parents are Edward Wood and Beatrice Elizabeth Hawkins.  We think that B E Hawkins was born in West Derby in 1906 and married in West Derby in 1929.  Have not been able to pin down Edward Wood and he is the direct line.

Any help would be appreciated.

As Rootschat has a "no living persons" policy can you confirm whether June & Albert are deceased?  If not - their names should be removed from your post

The 1929 marriage of Edward & Beatrice was at Emmanuel Church Everton according to www.lancashirebmd.org

The full marriage details are not available online so you would have to buy a copy of the marriage cert to establish Edward's age and his fathers name and occupation.  This will enable you to check the 1911 census for him

June died a few years ago and we think that Albert may have died recently but as I am looking for info on Edward Wood am happy to amend the post

Does your friend have a copy of the 1932 birth cert confirming parentage or does she know for certain that her parents names were Edward & Beatrice?

If there is any doubt - it would be best to get a copy of the birth cert as there is another Wood/Hawkins marriage in 1926 in the Ashton under Lyne registration district which is a lot nearer to Stockport than Liverpool is

The other marriage as far as I can see did not produce a child called June A Wood

That's fine as long as your friend is sure of June's parentage and birthplace.  Did June die in England or Canada?

June died in Stockport about 3 or 4 years ago
