Desperately Seeking (*) Toynton

Hello I am trying to find a long lost Aunt her name is (*)Toynton nee Lynes. Born in UK in the early 1950's, she emigrated to Australia in Apr 1957 with her mother Winifred May Lynes and her father Thomas Edward Lynes, eventually she ended up in  Christchurch,  New Zealand named  (*)Toynton how I do not know? I am trying to find any information on any, or all three of them, photographs would be good too.

Hi Michael,

The 1951 birth record you refer to for (*)  Lynes shows her mother’s surname as Callow but I can’t see a Lynes – Callow marriage anywhere, although there is one showing 1948 in Louth, Lincolnshire between Thomas E Lynes and Winifred M Smith.  Is it possible that she was adopted?

 yes thats the one in louth, between smith its complicated smith was her 4th lynes was her 5th hubby, (*)  was born to them in islington uk i have the certs she was not adopted, that i know of, but she did have 2 boys for definite adopted one being my dad they were taken into care not given away

She was a widow and had been in New Zealand for 8 yrs
