My line goes through Thomas and Martha's son Thomas (1828-1879) and carries on through a whole load Harry/Henry Sykes' :)

My grandmother was a Sykes... so Thomas/Martha were my x3 grandparents

That's really interesting. Thomas and Martha are my 4th great grandparents. This family tree stuff is really addictive, I love finding new relatives...even if they are distant! :)

does anyone know anything about john sykes born 1754 evenly Northamptonshire
via Thomas sykes details but it states f: john sykes m: Elizabeth wade?
not sure if that correct as I have found john sykes with fanny/Francis sykes
nee fisher and a lot of family in Higham ferrers Northamptonshire
just wondering if I am going on the right line?

John Sykes and Frances Fishers children were born between 1774-1792, they had 3 children they named Thomas ( 2 died) and their last born Thomas married Martha Knowles in 1812 Higham Ferrers Northamps

There are many Sykes families, not all necessarily related

then I have come to a brick wall !! as ancestry.co.uk does not given me any records nor does looking at other peoples trees all stop at john Sykes 1754–1814 Evenley Northamptonshire married

Elizabeth Wade 1767–1834

Birth 1767 • Evenley Northamptonshire England

Death 1834 • Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

I have google searched tons of files,web sites in the ever search of finding something?
I would take a punt that the sykes of higham ferrers are related in some way? but its that ever ending circle of fact over fiction?
its not like you can call them unless holding a séance ,,lol
what I have found that shocked me is that my 5th g.f. fathers side of family married a girl and lived and died in my 5th g.f. mothers side of the family area of deddington then 5 gen later my mother married my father her being sykes him being Bennett spooky !!!
