John Harper of Buckland

Looking for more information on John Harper, believed to be born appx 1700 in Buckland Herts.
  He went on to marry Elizabeth Barns in Buckland, Oct. 1724. They had at least 5 children, one being Mary Harper, b. 1731, who in turn married a Joseph Harper in Ashwell, Herts in 1758.
  If anyone has anything more on John, his dates of birth/baptism/death, his parents , siblings or anything that can add to the pot, I would be very thankful.

Only small bits and pieces I've found are their 5 children were christened in Buckland
John (1725), Ann (1728) Mary (1731) Eliz (1731) and Grace in 1733/34
Eliz Harper (child) was buried Buckland May 1734

The girls christening records say that they were from Ther(field)

There are a few Harper family members in Therfield but they seem to be earlier than what you need
Richard Harper married Frances Faye 1638 Therfield. Richard died 1674 and Frances in 1663 - both bur Therfield. Could they be John's ancestors?
