Sorting out my Jane Whale's

Good day - I would really appreciate the guidance of finer minds than my own to sort out an ancestral puzzle for me!

One of my ancestors John Hatter married a Jane Whale in 1848, Calne, Wiltshire at St Andrew Church.  (Unfortunately there is some question about his DOB as well but I will deal with that in another post!)

However, I have two potential Jane Whale's (well possibly three I guess) for the bride and have been unable to sort out which is correct.  If anyone could help by identifying her parents or another useful tidbit I would be most grateful.

What does the marriage certificate say about her father.

Hi Keyboard - yes but my problem has been the various dates on the different docs seem to be "fluid" re dob's and because I have two Jane Whales within a couple of years of each other I am trying to be very specific about which one I am working on...

At the moment I have her remarrying in her 60's and ending up dying in a lunatic asylum (and frankly I may join her at the rate I am going on this!)

I am working on basis that the John Hatter she married was born in 1805 to William and Catherine Hatter which makes her quite a bit older her than her.

WiltshireBMD says it is at St Andrew, Heddington.    If you are not convinced about the census entries/ parents /ages for this couple it may be a good idea to buy the marriage cert.

Given their ages at Marriage they both may have been married before.
It appears from 1841 Census John was to a Sarah.

You really need the M/C as suggested

Hi all - yes I have ordered the MC. The problem is further compounded by the fact that Jane Whale married a John Hatter  - but there is also another John Hatter of similar age in the area who also married a Jane.  Oh well, I will pick away at it.
