Chicago marriage look up for 1929
« on: Wednesday 10 June 15 08:16 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a record of the following marriage between Patrick Donohoe (Donoghue, Donahoe, O'Donoghue, O'Donohoe ) to Sarah Ann Brennan in Feb 1929. They married in  St. Basils Church on the south side of Chicago. This was taken from their citizenship papers. Both were born in Ireland.

Hi,

Don't  think there are any marriage records online for the time frame you require.  Could you perhaps contact St Basils Church to see if they could help ?

http://www.stbasilchicago.org/

If that is the correct link, they also have a facebook page.

www.cookcountygenealogy.com has an index of marriages, but I don't see a match for your people.  The index is not complete, so it may not have that year entered yet.  The website gives information about ordering records here - http://www.cookcountygenealogy.com/Help.aspx

Thank you for your replies. I have just found out St Basils was a Roman Catholic Church at 1840 West Garfield Boulevard Chicago, i believe it was closed in 1990 due to the fall of the catholic population, the parish was consolidated with the Visitation parish. I will contact them to see what records are available
