Clara McMaster m Middleton of Armadale
« on: Wednesday 10 June 15 17:57 BST (UK) »
has anyone any information of Clara McMaster who lived in Armadale, she was a hairdresser I think about 1940-1960? I believe she married a man named Middleton and had a daughter Edit.?

There is also her brother Willie McMaster, maybe worked in the brick factory. I am struggling to get information on them. Thx Kathy

Hi Kathy  :)

Clara is an easier name to search than many....

I think she married in 1938 to a William Middleton. You  can't view the cert online as it is outside the period where the cert can. Ev has added details on her death.

Children of William and Clara could well be alive and, as you know, RC have a policy of not discussing people who may still be alive to protect their privacy and identity. So, if anyone does know of children, best to exchange info with Kathy via PM.

For sure as Monica rightly says, if anyone has any info oc Ann Middleton, or Willie McMasters family, please pm me. I know Willie died in Whitburn 1970 ish, but he is being very elusive so far.

I had hoped against hope that Clara's daughter Anne may still be alive but it seems Anne also gone. This thread of McMasters is proving particularly difficult.

I seem to remember that Willie MMasters wife was ... muir but not sure and Anne Middleton married a man ... Duff.

Does anyone know, was it usual for people in West Lothian to get married in Edinburgh, in the Church of John Knox? Now I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel of memories?
Thx for your help guys  :)
