This is great information, I appreciate how quickly you found all this. My second mum will be overjoyed with this, finding information was grainy at best! Do you think it's possible to get a copy of the newspaper articles?

The newspaper article is available on FindMyPast or the British Newspaper Archive. If you don't have access to either I may be able to help if you send me a PM ( private message ) with your email address - do not put your address in an open reply , please , as it's against the rules for good reasons .

Click on CB53 on any of my messages . You will see my profile and an option on the left to Send PM, below the Avatar. That will open the message pane and you should be ok from there.

Hello - I've just come across this discussion on Parnell Gale, Royal Irish Constabulary, and offspring etc. Parnell's youngest son, John Gale, remained in Cork. I'm related to this Cork branch.

Hi Unicorn1666,
    How exciting!!!
Yes the conversation for the Parnell's was worth the effort on this site. Every piece of information went towards the ancestral tree, but also to discover where Robert Gale was buried so my step mum could visit him(grandfather) for the very first time while in the UK.

Hello Banks2233, it's interesting to hear that your step mother is the granddaughter of Robert Gale DSO, and therefore the g-granddaughter of Parnell Gale (Scotland), and g-g-granddaughter of Parnell Gale (RIC, Cork). Is that correct? I'm the g-g-grandson of Parnell Gale, Cork. He was b. 1815.
