Louisa Bland

Louisa Bland m William Lumb in Leicester in 1853. (freeBMD - I don't have a certificate). I can find her in the censuses in 1861, 71, 81. She states in 1861 and 71 that she was born in Billesdon.

FamilySearch has a baptism for Louisa Bland, daughter of John and Jane Bland in Billesdon on 18 Aug 1833 so I guess this is her. But I can't find her anywhere in 1841 or 51. Can anyone spot her? Then neither can I find a death or remarriage for her (William died in 1866 and she's not buried with him!)

(there was another Louisa Bland b Leic 1843, d of Henry and Angelina so I am trying not to confuse the two!)

Maybe transcribed as Louisa BLANC on A*try 1851 census.

Did you find any siblings for her on family search, and what occupation did her father have?

Familysearch doesn't give the father's occ

There are these baptisms to John and Jane Bland in Billesdon

Sarah Ann, George, James and Mary ---- all 1828
Samuel 1831
John 1836
and Louisa Jane 1833.

Found her!

1841, "Birkley St" St Margaret

Jane Bland age 40, FWK
7 other family members, the only one I can read are Elizabeth age 20 and "Louesia" age 6 but according to the transcription on Ancestry, the others are Sarah, James, George, Mary and Saml.

She seems to re-marry as Louisa Jane LUMB to William BRIGGS. In 1891 she says she was born 1833 Billesdon so I'm pretty sure it's her. :)
