hi Sinann
checked that pdf out. i am not confident in how to search it, but it would appear that there are no records available for any of the churches on that, at the moment. unless i am doing it wrong?

It won't give the name of the church only the name of the parish but doesn't look like any of them go past 1880

You seem to have completely overlooked my earlier post about Ballela-
See here for Ballela-

Added- history of Ballela here:

http://lisburn.com/books/dromore-diocese/parish-dromore.html (with photo of old church)

Ballela is in DROMORE Parish NOT Seapatrick. See here-

Ballela, Ballelly - Garvaghy - a village & residence & farm of Monsignor McCartan in 1890s; Catholic chapel & school here; see under Ballooly

interesting info. one thing it does confirm that P J McEvoy was the curate for Dromore Parish. his name appears on their marriage record from roots ireland of St. Colemans.

Hi aghadowey, you sound cross in thinking i had not looked at your post. I did read it. I was also taking the time to reply to other posts.
i get that Ballella is in the parish of Dromore.
following on with your next link , ros Davies ,it looks like Ballela  is in the parish of Garvaghy?
Forgive me for perhaps trying your patience, but i am confused.
I do appreciate the time and effort it takes for such as yourself to answer queries. but i am obviously blind to what i am missing.
would you be good enough to explain it in "guide for dummies" terms.

Hi Aghadowey
looking back over the posts, i can see how i have answered later posts, before answering yours. perhaps that is what made you think i had overlooked your post. Not at all,  I was simply digesting all the links you gave me. the later posts were shorter to reply to and i did want to answer each in turn.
Simply a misunderstanding on my part.

The NLI list of parishes gives the name as Dromore and Garvaghey.

If you click on Dromore and then on the next page look at Seapatrick ( which is a place just outside Banbridge town) you can read more about each church, plus photos

From Dromore which is an old traditional market town, Banbridge is the closest larger town, Seapatrick used to be a separate village but it is now joined into Banbridge ( because of house, school buildings)
