Sorry I am a little muddled, I thought Edwin Owen's wife was Bertha Bates m 1900 Fulham.  Is it right that Edwin was born 1917 mother's name Bates???

It looks as though Edwin & Bertha could have had a son Edwin in 1917  :-\

Rose & John lived in Wells then returned home to Blaina, S Wales.  They came down to Bournemouth & had a dairy in Bournemouth sometime 1920-1930 and lived at Portland Road, I am told Connie & her two sisters, also lived there.  So far this family legend is very difficult, I have tried for years to try and work this one out.  regards Trish

Now I am confused, I thought Roses's husband was Thomas not John.

Thomas  and Rose had no children with them in 1911, so if they took in children it was after that date.

Not Bournemouth but just for information  Bertha & Edwin Owen appear on electoral register for 27 Grosvenor Road, Chiswick in 1935

When did Thomas start using the name John? He is Thomas in 1901and 1911, there are no children with them at either time
