Mary Hopes - hope not a hopeless case!

Hello, I am trying to find more about Mary Hopes, in particular when she was born and who her parents were. Prior to her marriage I can find nothing. She was married on 2 July 1797 to Thomas Bright in Aldbourne by Banns, says both of this parish, but I can not find her before this. Any help most welcome.

Thirty days was the qualifying time to be classed of the Parish, have you searched the surrounding parishes?

I did notice there was also a Margaret HOPES/James BRIGHT Marriage 2 July 1797 Aldbourne on Anc.

Hi,

How strange - I can see the marriage that "Trish"  has listed but cannot see a marriage for Mary Hopes to Thomas Bright. Using the marriages Wilts (North) CD from the Wilts FHS.
The only Mary Hopes marriage was to a Thomas Drue 23-10-1763 Compton Bassett.

Where did you find the marriage to Thomas, please?
OK -  I found it on the IGI but it does'nt appear in the Aldbourne transcripts, part of the CD above.  Looks like it may have been a double wedding and missed when transcribed.
