i have just got my great uncle george hopkins born 1892 bedlington,s service record from ancestry he was in the D.L.I number 104412, on the records it said forwarded to chelsea 16/5/19 think he was wounded is there any were i can look to see what happened cheers

If you are really lucky then his service records will have survived.  Do you have Ancestry?  They and Find my past have the WW1 records on their search...

If you have his records then on about page 8 ish he appears to have been wounded , a GSW to the hand  6/12/18, invalided to England 12/11/ 1918 to Meily? Hospital and then Newcastle.
