Help with the Sheen Family
« on: Monday 15 June 15 00:56 BST (UK) »
Hi I am helping a friend try and trace her family.
I have John Sheen married Jane Robertson 1873
They had 11 children that i have been able to find
Thomas 1875-1956?
John Edward 1877
Maud 1879
Stanley 1881-1881
Mabel 1882
Arthur William 1883- 1960 (friend's grandfather)
Robert Herbert 1885-1885
Reginald 1886- 1969?
Lois Helena 1887-1957?
Olive Gwendoline 1889
Frances Muriel 1892

I know a Thomas Sheen was an All Black in 1930's (Lots on paperspast but i need to tie him into this family. Could he be Thomas born 1875???)
Also on Archway I have found Plan of Residence Site Mackytown. Applications J. Long, J. E. Sheen, T. Sheen [no application numbes]
Where would i find info for Waihi  and the surrounding area?

Any help most welcome
                            Carol

Adding:    Looks like the child Thomas SHEEN was actually born in Christchurch (and NOT Dunedin as per the above "tree").

"Nelson Evening Mail" - 4 May 1875 - Births - page 2

SHEEN - on 26th April ... at her residence, St. Albans, Christchurch,  ... wife of John SHEEN, a son.
