Illegible word on a headstone

I'm hoping someone has come across the following inscription on another headstone and can fill in the missing word:

Here lies an honest ............. friend
peaceful in his life and happy in his end
harmless in his words and in his dealings just
constant to his friend and right to his trade

Similar  here, it gives the word as "inoffensive"
