So born Wandsworth married a girl from near Poplar in Poplar, first child born there and then moved back to Wandsworth. So he seems to have been in both areas.

Ah I guess that does make sense...I guess I was thinking of Poplar not really being that close to Essex, but not thinking about old boundries etc.  Thanks!

There is a baptism that could be the Elizabeth Rose bornc.1828 on the 1841 census in Poplar?
