Cloatley Farm, Hankerton
« on: Tuesday 23 June 15 09:57 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know, please, about this place?  It has come up in my ancestry research and the family name there is Greenslade (Oliver Alic and his widow Frances Alice nee Reynolds who died in 1965 and 1966 respectively).  Am I right in saying that there was once a fire there?  Also, there was mention of Cherry Tree Cottage at Hankerton too.  Oliver left his estate to his widow with a note at the end which says "Further grant Llandaff 14th September" but I am not sure of the meaning of this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks!

Many thanks for the link.  I had come across this one but was trying to find a bit more out about it especially the Greenslades and what happened after the tragedy.   :)
