« on: Tuesday 23 June 15 12:21 BST (UK) »
Hi i am trying to find out

if anne channer Daughter of Mathew and sarah dell
christened 24 june  1741 Ivinghoe

Married George Dodd september 1762  Ivinghoe

or married Thomas Bishop
april 1762 All Saints Buckland Bucks

i think she married george dodd   as  Ann  Dodd was mentioned in the Will of Mathew Channer 1792

if she married thomas bishop  why was she christened 2 weeks before her marriage if she was already christened
i am wondering if she was daughter of henry channer and Elizabeth
as rebecca, and sarah  a children  of theirs were  christened as adults
Making her a cousin of the first ann

Andrea,
From FamilySearch the baptism of Ann Channer 30 May 1741 daughter of Matthew & Sarah is OK. However, FamilySearch has George Dodd marrying Ann Chapman 14 September 1762. Where did you get your information?

Hi Andrea,
For completeness FamilySearch has Matthew and Sarah baptising four children: William 1737, Margaret 1738, Ann 1741 and Sarah 1743. I had a look at the will of Matthew and there is certainly no disputing the wording. So it could be that the 1762 marriage has been wrongly transcribed you will need to look at the original record to prove that one way or other. The good news is that The Church of The LDS have it on microfilm.
