Searching for any information about Freda May Bark

b 23 Nov 1913 East Ham

Lived with parents (Edgar John Bark and Alice Bark nee Horsham) in East Ham and then Seven Kings/Ilford until marriage.

1938 - has child out of wedlock (christened David and subsequently adopted). Father unknown.

1950 - marries Thomas Dunlop Macnair (b 1884 in Glasgow. Grew up in Sunderland. Saw active service in WW1 with RFA. After war, worked for a period in Malaya).

Freda and Thomas lived together initially in the Seven Kings area, before moving to Purley (Surrey).

1968 Thomas dies

1987 Freda dies (at Mayday Hospital, Croydon)

Any information about Freda (and/or Thomas) gratefully received.

This might be Thomas on the 1901 census in Sunderland: -

Thank you.  This is indeed the TD Macnair I am interested in.

I have no problem tracking Thomas through the census records and also have copies of his war records; it is more recent information about him (and Freda) that is of particular interest.  I am especially keen to try and track down photographs.

Have you contacted members who share the same ancestors on the subscription site your family tree is on? I did and was amazed at the photos I was emailed by distant relatives. Worth a go.

Thank you. I did try doing that a while ago, but with no success.  I think, however, that it may be worth exploring that avenue again as there are some new possible lines of enquiry.
