My initial thought was that it was Mentmore Towers. While I was looking for photos of that I spotted one of Wollaton Hall (which I'd never heard of  ::) )

Just doing some reading about this hall and I'm surprised that no one else has recognised it, particularly if you are a Batman fan!  ;D ;D  Wollaton Hall was used as none other than Wayne Manor!   ;D ;D  Yep, it's Batman's home and it's actually situated 5 miles from the town of Gotham, Nottinghamshire which Gotham City is actually named after..who knew!!  :o

I once took off from Wollaton Park in front of the hall in a hot air balloon :o :o

The story of the stolen road sign has been all over local media this week.

You would have to have CCTV on the sign wouldn't you? I mean, I would so tempted myself (but wouldn't.. ;D ).
