Alexander Tytler Miller b 1st May 1809
« on: Saturday 27 June 15 23:58 BST (UK) »
I'm hoping someone can help me find any info on the above person.  His parents were Robert Miller and Jane Low, Edinburgh.

I can't find anything other than his birth date but with such an unusual middle name you would think there would be another way of tracing him.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading...

Sorry, meant it as how are you connected to Alexander? You mention you have only so far found a birth for him so just wandered whether he was direct family.

Hi again,

I'm a descendant of his brother, William Miller, b 1811 in Edinburgh.  ;)

Wow thank you Br1gau.  I had some knowledge of some children but not all the ones you've found.  I knew about the bookbinding from a marriage cert but those addresses are fantastic.

Still not sure what Alexander T Miller did for a living but delighted with your info.

Thanks again :D

Good, it's something new, I wasn't sure what info you already had. What was William's occupation, by the way?
Here's a snip from the Edinburgh marriage Register, transcription from the OPR I should think.

Thanks again, Br1gau - I've tried to look at this marriage before without success.  William left Scotland and went to the UK, he had various trades but mainly mining.

Alexander Tytler Miller 1809 is driving me mad because I can't find a thing on him, still searching the records...

Thanks again, really appreciated  :D
