I am looking for the death of William Anderson born Gosforth approx 1822. He lived in Gateshead with his wife Elizabeth. She died in 1906 but I can't seem to find a death for him.  He is on his son's marriage certificate in 1898 and is not down as deceased. His wife is widowed in 1901.  I would be grateful for any help finding his death

Marriage certificate don't always indicate if father is deceased. Assuming you have William Anderson in 1891 census and wife is a widow by 1901 this is the closest match with name, age and district-

Thank you. I hadn't realised they did not put deceased next to father on marriage certificate.  I am not sure that this is the one as it would make him born in 1817.  He was born in 1822 and  has at least 3 - 4 siblings born between 1817 and his birth.   Thank you so much for your help

Age on Death Cert is only as good as the informants knowledge of their age
