I have a William Baikie, father of Janet born 10/05/1744 does anyone know her mother's name?
William I have born in 1717 and I found a possible father for him as JAMES BAIKIE born 17/12/1684 can anyone confirm? :)

If a parish register does not give the name of the mother, a possibility is to look at ALL the entries to see if the mother witnessed any baptisms herself. I have found two grandmothers that way in Gamrie.
