Lower Deeside
« on: Wednesday 01 July 15 17:04 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have a copy of the 1798 book, Men of Lower Deeside, who were of the right age group to fight, if Napoleon invaded Scotland.  I am looking for any John Reids, many thanks

Did you ever get any responses for this query?

No response as yet, I remember seeing it in the Aberdeen FHS and should have written down details of all the John Reids, a lesson learned.

It's strange as the term used "Lower Deeside" seems to be confusing, as the book seemingly refers to places North of the river Dee.

"Parishes of Cluny, Drumoak, Echt, Kincardine O'Neil, Midmar, Newhills, Peterculter and Skene"
