Tobin’s of County Cork (Mitchelstown)
« on: Thursday 02 July 15 01:54 BST (UK) »
I am researching my Tobin roots in Cork, especially Edward Tobin b1828. Several Baptismal records for both Edward and James appear for Mitchelstown and I would like to learn more about the Tobin families there as well as other places in Cork, especially in the mid 1800’s.  I will appreciate any help.  Edward emigrated to the US.  ;)

Family search link for Ireland Civil Registration.

Edward and James are fairly common names.  Do you have evidence that your Tobins are actually from Mitchelstown area?
What religious denomination are they?  National Library of Ireland have announced that they will be releasing Roman Catholic records from 8th July.
