Wow. Impressive. Is that a mini ruin in the background? And can you see what the landscape is like - it looks either flat or that the castle is built on a ridge overlooking the sea.
(I find the depths in some of these old photos quite disorientating.)

There is a some sort of building/ruin in the background.  It is hard to judge the scale, but I think the building might be a bit more inland than it appears.

Or  it is the house  on the North coast of Scotland where the late Queen Mother lived.       That is probably her standard flying on the roof.

I have just been searching for photos also.

Castle of Mey  on Caithness is the other possibility.

I have a lovely National Trust of Scotland Book of 5 Castle Jigsaws!  One similar design, but looks too big!
