Denis John Williams - Death in 1982

Can anyone help with locating anything about the following person.  I know that Denis John Williams lived in Llandudno, and died in 1982. He married Annie Grace Davies.  Beyond that I have little to go on.  He had some connection with the sea.  Family stories suggest his father worked in a bank, and his mother was killed in a car accident around the time of the General Strike in 1926.  His national service papers suggest he may have been born in Southport in Lancashire. Any pointers appreciated.

Please don't duplicate.

You know from the death index his approximate age, so look for birth registration(s) in the correct quarter of the year +/- either side of that .

There are two trees on Ancestry with Denis John Williams born 30/9/1918 Southport died Llandudno 2/7/1982. His wife Annie Grace born 13/12/1927 Llandudno died 11/2/2011 Bangor. The only marriage I can find for Denis John Williams to Annie G Varey 3/4/1963 Conway.
You may get a better response from The Three Towns Forum as a lot of the members have lived in Llandudno all their lives and could possible know of Denis & Annie. Good Luck  :)

Something is definitely amiss here.There is no birth that corresponds with his death record.

I have looked in fact for all the differing spelling of the possible name,possibly John alone and Denis alone.One birth that did take my eye was that of a Denis John Williams in the September Quarter of 1913 in the Conway District. North Wales BMD give the Birth to be in the Llandudno Sub-District.
