Subject of the Empire of Japan
« on: Saturday 04 July 15 07:03 BST (UK) »
Hello,
My relative was born to a British father domiciled in Kobe & a Japanese mother (unwed)in 1877 he came to the UK as an orphan by 1891 and in 1906 he naturalized as a British subject. I have those papers hoping they would give any kind of information (they didn't, very disappointed ???) How would i go about finding his birth etc in Japan? It wasn't registered with the consul and because the father was British there isn't a family Koseki.

hope you can help.
