This site lists a Coles family of Evercreech and I think includes Charles (parents George Coles and Catherine Penny) http://www.islandregister.com/coles1.html

MARY Coles was Buried Evercreech, 24 June 1848 age 66 (birth c 1782)

I did notice a BETTY Melliar was a Witness to the 1805 Marriage.

A BETTY Melliar married Thomas HAWKINS a few months later, 17 Nov 1805 same Church

A JOHN Coles married Margaret MELLIAR, 22 Oct 1804 same Church
CHARLES Coles was a Witness + a Rebecca Coles

I also found this

1851 Census
Evercreech, Somerset
HO107/1933/209/26
William Coles, 69, Head, Mar, born Pylle***
John Coles, 39, Son
Mary Coles, 39, Daug in Law
Darn image wont load tto see Occp's

So maybe a Brother for Charles

Kay that register was amazing, and Trish I did find a couple of baptisms on freereg2 at Doulting, another George, and Anne, 1817 and 1819. George must have died as the 2nd George was born 1822.
Thank you
Sue
