marriage and children, John Carruthers Steel

Hello

For a while, I tried to look for the marriage of a John Carruthers Steel, son of Ephraim Harris Steel and Elizabeth Carruthers.

I found his service record, no. 138862 and that he married a woman named Mary at Annan on 5th July 1916.

I don't have access to Scottish records or Scotlands people, I would appreciate it immensely if someone could help find the marriage and if there were any children resulting from the marriage.

Everybody has access to Scotlands People - you have to buy credits to look up records as it is not an annual subscription site

SP does not have a search facility using mothers maiden name in the same way as freebmd

Right I purchased some credits, there is a marriage, John Carruthers Steel and Mary Janet Gilbertson in Annan 1916.

I have also found their death records, however I have some possible children, but the records do not give any indication of if they are John's children
