Ryan/Irwin/Toole/Brien Knockanarrigan/Glen of Imaal area, Wicklow
« on: Sunday 05 July 15 23:29 BST (UK) »
Dear all,

This is my first Wicklow post.

My Great Grandparents, Francis Ryan and Brigid Irwin came from Talbotstown (Eadestown) and Knockanarrigan respectively.  Their parents were Michael Ryan and Mary Toole and John Irwin and Mary Brien. I have records relating to Francis and Brigid and have seen the census returns.

Any suggestions on where to go for information further back? They all seem to have been baptised and married in Dunlavin.  How does it work with the heritage centre? Do I have to go in person, should I call, email?

Many thanks,
Clarrie

You haven't given any dates but there are early RC Parish records coming online free on the 8th of this month.
It will be browse images but you know the parish which is half the battle.

Other wise there is RootsIreland subscription site and of course FamilySearch and Irish Genealogy.

Page 46 gives Dunlavin dates for the soon to be released Parish Records, but it says Ink badly faded.

Many thanks! This is very exciting news.  Although I may have to reconcile myself to my increasing age and get reading glasses...
Best wishes,
Clarrie
