Richard William STRINGER - what became of him after WW1?

Am interested to hear what became of Private Richard William Stringer (29th Battalion, transferred to 32nd Battalion late 1918) after WW1. He was awarded the MM along with my grandfather in 1919 for 'conspicuous courage and devotion to duty' late in 1918 but I'm keen to hear about his life following the war. According to the National Archives, Stringer was born in Lauriston, Victoria. He was about 32 years of age and was not married at the time of enlistment. The National Archives show he was residing in Robert Street, Westgarth in 1925. I've deliberately posted here because I'm interested in his life pre and post war. Did he every marry or have children when he returned? What did he do for a living when he returned to Aust? 'Stringer' is a well known family name in the mid-north of South Australia and I initially thought he may have been from that region. The NA records prove me wrong on that point. EB

Oh! That's interesting! Are you allowed to marry your first cousin?

Wonder if the son is still alive? Apparently my grandfather employed a 'Stringer' for a short time to help with the harvest and the family has always wondered if the young man had any connection to RW Stringer. I'll check with my mother and uncle to see if they can recall his first name. Any other children?
