Was Alice still a patient in Brookwood Lunatic Asylum after 1911?
« on: Wednesday 08 July 15 10:20 BST (UK) »
Alice Sarah HUNTINGFORD; wife of George HUNTINGFORD was a patient in Brookwood Lunatic Asylum - 1911 census.

I knew it as Brookwood Hospital in the 1980īs - only visiting ;D

She died 4q 1933 Guildford 2a 164 and I am trying to find out if she was still there between 1911 and 1933. Is there an Electoral Roll between These dates?

Husband George HUNTINGFORD was living in Vale Farm Road, Woking in 1911
They were both living Ellen Street, Woking in 1881

No other Information found to date.

I did wonder when I saw she was born Worplesdon.  :)

I am intrigued, where was Ellen Street.  I can see it was in the Chobham Rd/Chertsey Rd/High Street area.

Ellen Street would have been in the Maybury area and one of the small streets connecting Chobham Road and the Basingstoke Canal. :-\ :-\

Thank you,
I was trying to work it out from the census.  ;)  I must look for an old map of the area, not that I have family there but just curious.
