Bloomer families from Cradley and Halesowen
« on: Wednesday 08 July 15 18:26 BST (UK) »
HI

I am trying to connect two families, a Boaz Bloomer born 1742 in Cradley with another Bloomer family to a Josiah Bloomer born 1791 Halesowen, I know my Bloomer connection ended up at Halesowen.

Does anyone know if it is a Jewish name?

Many thanks as always
Dawn

Good Afternoon
I'm struggling here.
I can see a Josh Bloomer age 50 nailor on the 1841 census nailor at Netherend  with  Silas 45 nailor both yes.
On the 1851 at Cradley Netherend they  are  brothers Joseph 62 and Silas 58 unmarried nailors Cradley.
It seems Silas was baptised at Park Lane Presbyterian chapel Cradley 18.6.1794 s of James and Mary Bloomer .
Sons Jeremiah 11.3.1792,born 17.11.1791 and Thomas 21.10.1804 Born 1.4.1798 also there.
James married Mary Tomkiss at Halesowen 30.8.1773.

And I can see a Josiah Bloomer married Pheobe Homer 12.3.1786 Halesowen children
Lucy Ann 8.4.1787-14.8.1795 Halesowen
Issiah 15.2.1789
Samuel 7.4.1793
Elizabeth 10.5.1795
Then  at Cradley Mary 13.4.1791 ,JOSIAH 22.10.1797 ,Pheobe 25.12.1799,Benjamin 2.10.1803 ,Nancy 3.3.1805 ,John 2.6.1807 and Henry 9.6.1811.

This Josiah born 1797 died Mar 1897 at Stourbridge.Mother Pheobe died 1829.

Which of these  are we  trying to connect to Boaz and Sarah Richard married Halesowen 4.11.1763?
Children Halesowen John 26.9.1764 (with a wife Mary)
Benjamin 15.3.1766
Caleb 10.7.1768
Susanna 21.01.1770
daughter 15.1.1775
John 12.10.1777
William 23.9.1781-1.1.1785
James 29.6.1783-12.6.1791.

Boaz died 1808.Cradley and Sarah died 1785.

Can you just give a bit more info on who you're interested in?

There is a website  http://www.cradleylinks.com/ may be of some help with 1785 field survey etc.
