Baby born Dublin 1937-1940
« on: Thursday 09 July 15 08:40 BST (UK) »
My mother, now deceased, had a baby as a Catholic teenager in Dublin. We did not find out about this until it was too late. We have very little to go on. Any help would be appreciated.

See here Dublin Districts
http://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/Ireland-civil-registration.html
Then
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347
example say her name is Murphy you would be looking for Murphy child with mothers maiden name Murphy also look  out for just Female with mothers name Murphy.
If you have an idea which part of Dublin the event occurred in say Dublin north or Dublin South enter that in the box provided under birth and set your years 1937 to 1940 depending on  the rareity of whatever name you are looking for you may get a lot of hits for illegitimate births.
sorry this is the only suggestion i can make to you.
