Looking for information/family if Ernest McAllan born in Hawick,Scotland in 1909.
He travelled to Australia  about 1950 Family in Scotland lost contact with him.

There is an Ernest McAllan, 40 yr old engineer, travelling to Melbourne on 12 May 1950. His last address is shown as The British Aero Plane Co. (Housing) Ltd., Oldminon, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

Ernest McAllan was my grandfather, would be interested in any information as I am compiling my family tree. He was married to my grandmother in Scotland but left her, she subsequently divorced him and as far as we were aware he  moved to Australia. Any information welcome.

Do you know if your Ernest McAllan had a middle name?

There are more than 5 Ernest McAllans just in one state of Australia.

Ernest McAllan was my husband's Great Uncle!  Plenty of information re family in Hawick, Scotland if interested. :)
